Reporting checklist

This checklist provides an overview of the relevant steps for successful Healthy choices policy directive reporting.

  • We have identified the number of in-house and commercial cafés/kiosks, food and drink fridges across all sites in our organisation.

To find out where the Policy directive applies read through our overview page.

  • We have spoken with relevant food service staff and retailers to advise them of the Policy directive requirements.

For more information on the food and drink targets read through our overview page.

  • New staff have been upskilled to understand the Policy directive reporting process.

Any new staff are encouraged to complete the free online training: Maintaining the Policy directive for health services.

  • We have a current healthy eating or catering policy that ensures catering is supplied in line with the Policy directive requirements.
  • We have identified if there have been any changes to the food services, menus or plan-o-grams from previous FoodChecker assessments.
  • Up to date recipes and products have been assessed using FoodChecker within the 6 months leading up to September.

For instructions on how to use FoodChecker visit our FoodChecker instructions.

For help counting food and drinks visit our guide to counting foods and drinks.

  • Feedback from FoodChecker has been implemented as relevant to ensure our FoodChecker assessments meet the Policy directive targets.
  • Our FoodChecker food and drinks assessment reports are ready to be submitted to Progress Tracker, and we have made a note of the relevant FoodChecker assessment IDs to submit.
