On the 3rd March, The Victorian Department of Health and The Healthy Eating Advisory Service hosted an online award ceremony to celebrate and recognise outstanding efforts by Victorian health services who are required to implement the Healthy choices: policy directive.

Reporting Statewide Results
We are very pleased to share a summary of statewide self-reported progress toward implementation of the Healthy choices: policy directive by Victorian health services in 2025.
- 100% (80/80) of health services met all the food and drink requirements of the Policy directive.
- 100% (59/59) of health services with in-house managed retail (including menus available for staff and or visitors to purchase from) met the requirements.
- 100% (38/38) of health services with vending machines met the requirements.
- 100% (80/80) of health services met the Policy directive staff catering requirements.
